Joan app from Visionect is a handy piece of software that lets you efficiently manage assets such as shared spaces and objects. Be it a meeting room or a coffee machine, you can book it with Joan, making your day-to-day life more convenient.
To present its features to the public, we created a funny video campaign showing absurd, exaggerated situations you can find yourself in if not using Joan: taking a shower with your granny, having two meetings simultaneously in a conference room, or getting your car pushed aside from a parking space by another vehicle, to name just a few. The videos draw a thin line between possible and unlikely situations, with just the right amount of awkwardness that might make you consider booking that espresso machine in the office next time.
The campaign landing page reflects the same humour by using funny clips from the videos as gifs to highlight some sections of the website. Bordering on sarcasm, the campaign is self-aware about the exaggeration and shows the audience that, of course, the app isn’t useful for everyone or for every situation, but at least the advertisement can make you laugh.
